Charlie sleeping to much?

Charlie slept for nearly 3 hours yesterday afternoon which is very unusual for him, from 4:15 till 7pm then slept through the night from 9:45 to 7 am, is this cos he is needing his op? not a good sign!!

Charlie's health today

Charlie's saturation (sats) levels (oxygen in his blood) are currently 82% (with a healthy heart the sats should be about 99%). This means he is more tired than usual and is less active than a "normal" child, he also has a blue tinge to his top lip and finger nails, this is fairly normal for a heart child.

Charlie's weight is a concern right now as he is only 25lb 2 0z, he is not quite 3 and a half yet! He is on a high calorie milk called peadursure plus 300 calories per 200 ml and also a high calorie supplement called Calogen at 15 calories per 1 ml plus vitamin supplements too.
The consultants at Great Ormond Street Hospital would idealy like Charlie to weigh alot more but as he is showing signs of needing further surgery, they may have to carry out surgery before he weighs much more.

Charlie will be seen by cardiac consultants from GOSH at James Paget Hospital on the 11th May where they will carry out an Echo (very similar to a scan an expecting mother has) on his heart, they will then decide what will happen next with regards to his next surgery.
